Horizon awarded "Health Maker of the Year 2024"

On November 21, Harjumaa ‘Makers of the Year’ were recognized at Laitse RallyPark. The title of ‘Health Maker of the Year’ was awarded Horizon Pulp and Paper Ltd. from 21 nominees. The company was nominated for the title by Anija Municipality Government. In recent years, the company has shifted its focus to well-being of the community – supporting the well-being and mental health of children and youth and teachers through education projects.

The Health Maker of the Year award was accepted by Nikhil Krishnan, Marketing Manager at Horizon. He said that for Horizon, the community is very important and that Horizon is a passionate supporter of education.

“We believe that education helps create well-being for the community. Good education and good mental health are essential for a better future,” said Nikhil Krishnan.

He added that the educational projects are implemented in close cooperation with Anija Municipality, which knows the needs of the community and which education projects would have a positive impact on the community: “It would not be possible to do these projects without Anija Municipality. Thank you, Anija Municipality!”

Horizon’s marketing manager promised that the company will continue to work with Anija Municipality in contributing towards improving well-being of the community.

The Health Maker of the Year was presented with a wooden cutting board made by Raasiku company Knolle Köögid OÜ, which has the title of award.

250 people were invited to the Makers’ Appreciation Event of the Year, including all nominees nominated in 12 categories and their performers. An electronic thank you letter was sent to all nominees.

About 170 people were present at the event. The host of the event was Tanel Talve.
